Eucommia

Latin Name: Eucommia ulmoides

A rare tree species from ancient times, the bark is traditionally used in Chinese medicine (TCM) for the immune, endocrine, circulatory, urinary and central nervous systems.


Eucommia activates the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal cortex system and strengthens adrenal function nourishing the kidneys.  According to TCM, the kidneys store jing, which is an essential energy source required for normal sexual and reproductive functioning. 

Eucommia is a kidney yang tonic gently strengthening the entire body by restoring body functions and promoting well-being and vigour.  The toning assists with impotence and urinary incontinence.
